MEDICINE HAT, AB – You can expect ghouls, witches and at least one chainsaw at a large haunted maze in Medicine Hat opening for Halloween.

The maze organizers, who also operate the Dunmore Dugout, have set up their wicked creations at the old Alpha Dairy Building on Industrial Avenue.

A winding length of nightmarish scenery will be open to tour this weekend and several days next week.

The creators say they’ve been working on the event for several months so expect plenty of new scares, and they promise a frighteningly good time.

“I would challenge anybody in southern Alberta to say our house isn’t the best,” Bart Chase told CHAT News.

“Even though we’re there to scare a few people, we want people to enjoy themselves,” Chase added.

Some of the maze’s scary characters are being performed by local ringette players who will get a donation towards their upcoming tournament play.
