CYPRESS COUNTY, AB – Redcliff RCMP say two people were taken to hospital following a collision between Medicine Hat and Dunmore on Tuesday.

The collision between a pickup truck and motorcycle happened just after 12:30 p.m.

According to an RCMP release this afternoon, the pickup truck was northbound from a service road when it entered the Trans-Canada Highway and collided with an eastbound motorcycle.

The male and female riders of the motorcycle, both in their 60s, were transported with unknown injuries by EMS to local hospital.

The driver and passenger of the pickup were not physically injured.

The driver of the truck, a 39-year-old male from Medicine Hat, was ticketed under the Traffic Safety Act for failing to proceed safely before entering an intersection.

The collision remains under investigation and RCMP say no further updates are anticipated.
