Missing Ontario girl possibly seen in Medicine Hat located in B.C.

UPDATE: A man who was the subject of a public advisory issued by Medicine Hat city police, was arrested yesterday afternoon after an incident with police in Cranbrook, B.C.

Medicine Hat police issued an advisory after the vehicle failed to stop for officers on the Trans-Canada Highway outside the city.

A 13-year-old girl, missing from Waterloo, Ontario was safely located during the arrest in Cranbrook.

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Police in the Medicine Hat area are looking for a teenage girl who has been reported missing by Waterloo Regional Police in Ontario.

It’s believed Gabriellah Ratsavong, 13, was one of the occupants of a vehicle that failed to stop for RCMP on Thursday morning.

RCMP told city police that 2008 Red Grand Prix, with Ontario plate BMMX291, turned off the Trans-Canada Highway into Medicine Hat.

Gabriellah is believed to be travelling with an adult male, Matthew Perron, 37.

Police say the pair were possibly seen travelling on foot in the Crestwood area this morning. They don’t currently know if Gabriellah and Matthew are still using the above-noted vehicle or if they are on foot.

Anyone with information that could help locate either of the individuals or vehicle is asked to contact the MHPS at 403-529-8481.

People are advised not to approach the subjects or the vehicle.
