Elections Canada needs local poll workers
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Halfway through the federal campaign Elections Canada is still looking for workers in the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding.
Leanne Nyirfa, regional media advisor (Alberta), says each riding usually hires about 750 workers for positions such as frontline poll workers, information officers and deputy returning officers.
Depending on the position the pay ranges from $17.22 to $23.44 per hour after a paid training session.
Poll workers will work advance polls Sept. 10-13 and on election day Sept. 20.
