Local Business is the cornerstone of Medicine Hat, that’s why we’re asking you to Amplify Medicine Hat by nominating local businesses we can highlight and support.
We’ve received a number of nominations for Foodland IGA on Maple Avenue. Foodland IGA is the definition of a local business…founded in 1960 by the father and mother of the current owners!
As one nominator said…”I love this little grocery store. I just moved here from Calgary. I stopped in there just about everyday for one thing or another! The staff and owners were so welcoming to me and they always seemed to take pride in what they do, especially helping their customers. I love the fact that it felt like a little family there. I just moved from the Flats but I still take my time and go there to support their business!!! Great people and store!”
Other nominators praised Foodland IGA’s handy location, compact size, and great selection…as well as their community support…”They do so much for the community. They help out school lunch and breakfast programs. They donate to many causes, many of which I don’t even know, and it’s all done under the radar. They are community builders.”
