More city road resurfacing projects starting

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Road resurfacing continues in the city today with milling operations at three locations.

• 12 Street NW from Brier Park Road NW to Sanderson Avenue NW
• Southview Drive SE from Higdon Avenue SE to Thompson Crescent SE
• 24 Street SE from 22 Avenue SE to Southview Drive SE

Milling operations involves the removal of the top 50 mm of asphalt to accommodate the placement of a new asphalt surface, explains the city in a release.

Asphalt resurfacing is expected to start the week of June 28, once milling is complete.

The city adds it’s important that motorists obey all construction signage and temporary speed limits near the work zone for the safety of workers and the public.
