Tenants of Flats four plex displaced by early morning fire on Bridge Street Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT — A four plex in the 1100 block of Bridge Street S.E. suffered extensive damage in a fire around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Units from all three Medicine Hat Fire stations were called to the blaze, which started on the outside of one of the rear suites in the building.

All tenants were displaced but Fire Chaplain Mike Landry contacted the Red Cross, which was able to place the one tenant who needed accommodation help into a hotel for the night.

There were no injuries.
