Road in the future

Sanitary infrastructure work, not road creation, happening east of Redcliff

Mar 30, 2021 | 3:14 PM

Redcliff residents hopeful for a shortcut from the town’s southern end to Saamis Drive will have to wait a while longer.

Work is underway in the area east of town but it’s not for a new road.

It’s to install a new sanitary main and sanitary surge tank.

New lines will also be installed to add capacity for future growth on the town’s east side.

Corey Popick, Redcliff’s director of environment and planning, says the rough road that has been created is the layout for a future road as planned in the current area structure plan.
