Two people charged in Standoff shooting

STANDOFF, AB – Blood Tribe Police have issued charges in relation to a shooting in Standoff.

On March 22, at around 3 p.m., officers were called out to a residence, where they found a man with significant injuries to his leg. The victim’s injuries are believed to have been the result of a firearm.

The man was taken to hospital, reportedly in stable condition, according to Blood Tribe Police.

Police believe the occurrence was a targeted incident and that there was and is no immediate danger to the public.

Two people have been charged in relation to the shooting.

However, due to a publication ban, their names cannot be released, and police say no further information will be released at this time.
