BROOKS, AB – Grasslands Public Schools is advising another of its school communities about a case of COVID-19 connected to a school.

The division says a case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in an individual who was last within Sunrise School on Nov. 27.

“From the AHS investigation to date, a number of close contacts have been identified and will be notified via an AHS close contact letter,” reads the statement from the school division. “Public Health and the school will work closely together to ensure accurate contact tracing. If you are not contacted by AHS, you and/or your children are not considered close contacts and no further action is required.”

The statement goes on to remind families to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 using the Alberta Health Daily Checklist and complete the checklist each day prior to attending school.
