Extra big smile after Extra lotto win

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A Medicine Hat man is $250,000 richer after going seven-for-seven on the Extra number on a Lotto Max ticket from Oct. 16.

Gerald Kat didn’t believe it when he scanned his ticket and it showed he was a winner.

He says he was “stunned” and scanned it a couple of more times over the next couple of days to be sure, according to a release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

Prize money now in hand, Kat says “I’ll have some work done on my vehicle, possibly buy a revenue property, and put some into savings.”

Kat bought the ticket at the South Country Co-op gas bar on Maple Avenue.
