Highway 41 and 9 are closed due to poor road conditions (Alberta 511)

Highway 41 and Highway 9 closed near Oyen

OYEN, AB- A winter storm bringing gusty winds and snow drifts has closed Highway 41 and Highway 9 near Oyen due to deteriorating road conditions.

A winter storm warning is in effect in the region. Twenty to 40 cm of snow is expected to fall. The region is also expected to experience strong northerly winds gusting from 60 km/hr to 80 km /hr, according to Environment Canada.
