Update: Man in custody following weapons complaint on Factory Street

Update: The MHPS say a 54-year-old man has been taken into custody without incident, follwing a weapons complaint offense earlier this afternoon in the 1100 block of Factory Street.

The man faces a charge of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

He is due in provincial court in early 2021, according to police.

MEDICINE HAT, AB- Officers with the Medicine Hat Police Service are currently investigating a weapons complaint offense in the 1100 block of Factory street.

The MHPS says police are looking for a male described as approximately 60 years old, Caucasian, wearing blue jeans, and a heavy sweater and described as approximately 6 feet tall and slim build.

Anyone who sees the individual is asked not to approach the person but call 9-1-1.
