Schools temporarily closed due to COVID-19 outbreak at Siksika First Nation
All four schools on the Siksika First Nation are closed for the rest of the week as it deals with a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.
The First Nation has also closed its homeless shelter and has suspended visitation at the Siksika Elders Lodge.
Active COVID-19 cases being managed by Siksika Health have risen from zero to 14 in the past few days.
As of the latest update on the Siksika Health Facebook page, there have been 49 positive cases managed by it since March 24.
