EDMONTON – Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has tested negative for COVID-19 but will continue to isolate at home after one of his cabinet ministers tested positive.

Kenney says in a statement he is feeling healthy and not exhibiting symptoms.

He says because he has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19, he will isolate until Oct. 29.

In the meantime, he says he will continue to work from home.

The premier’s office has said Municipal Affairs Minister Tracy Allard went into self-isolation last weekend because a close contact tested positive.

When Allard’s test came back positive this afternoon, Kenney says he immediately went into isolation and was tested.
