Google Canada part of support program for local small businesses

Following the city’s regular COVID-19 update on Tuesday, Mayor Ted Clugston teased a big announcement for early next week.

Indications from the City of Medicine Hat today are that announcement involves Google Canada and the local small business community.

“We may have some interesting information for you early next week so stay tuned,” said Clugston on Tuesday. “Not specifically COVID related, but kind of COVID related.”

A release from Invest Medicine Hat says it has collaborated with APEX Alberta, Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce and Google Canada on a program “to support small businesses during these unprecedented times.”

The announcement will take place Monday morning.
