Posters share positive, empowering messages

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new Alberta Health Services poster campaign hopes to spread positive vibes and positive messages.

Health is in my Hands uses posters with messages like “I am Grateful,” “I am Resilient” and “I am Brave” at the top of the poster. A space is provided at the bottom for the participant to write what they’re grateful for, how they are resilient or why they are brave. There are also short, simple messages on fostering connection, activity and healthy eating.

The posters can be downloaded at ahs.ca/healthisinmyhands. AHS is asking Albertans to download the posters, fill in the blanks and upload a selfie to social media of them holding the poster and include the hashtag #healthisinmyhands. Posters can also be hung in windows to inspire others.

The program was created by the Addiction and Mental Health Prevention and Promotion team in AHS South Zone.
