Cochrane completes comeback with game 7 win

Cochrane takes game seven; Cubs must wait a month to play again

COCHRANE, AB. — The Cochrane Generals have advanced to the Heritage Junior B Hockey League South Final, after a 4-1 win over the Medicine Hat Cubs on home ice last night.

That completes a remarkable comeback for the Generals who trailed the series 3 games to 1 before reeling off three victories in a row.

Cooper Hilworth had the only goal for the Cubs, who now have a month to prepare and practice for the provincial championships.

Medicine Hat receives a bye to the championship as the host team.

The provincial championship tournament starts April 2nd at the Kinplex.
