Wheelchair basketball team victorious at Lethbridge tournament

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Mustangs Wheelchair Basketball Team were victorious at a tournament in Lethbridge over the weekend.

The team, organized by Medicine Hat Adaptive Sport and Recreation, competed in the Lethbridge Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Saturday and Sunday. The tournament featured teams from Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge, and the Mustangs finished with a 3-1 record.

The Mustangs won their first game against Calgary 34-24, and won the second game against Edmonton 40-28.

The Mustangs dropped their third game against Lethbridge 28-24, but defeated them in the finals 35-32.

According to an email from Medicine Hat Adaptive Sport and Recreation, it’s the first tournament the Mustangs have won, and it’s only the second tournament the team has played in.
