NANTON, AB – High River Fish and Wildlife Officers are asking for help in finding a person responsible for shooting a bull moose.

They say the carcass was found on November 24, 2019, by the intersection of Highway 22 and William Coulee Road west of Nanton.

Significant portions of the moose were left and not recovered for consumption.

“This is an offence under the Wildlife Act, as no portion of edible meat may be left to become unfit for human consumption,” reads a statement from Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement.

Officials are looking for anyone who might have information that could assist them in their investigation.
