Cold warning ended for S.E. Alberta, warmer temperatures on the way

Medicine Hat, AB – The extreme cold warning issued earlier this week was lifted this morning by Environment Canada.

The order which remained in effect for Medicine Hat, Cypress County, County of Newell and Special Area 2 was lifted at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Temperatures are expected to continue to rise overnight from -23C this afternoon to -9C tonight.

Monday will see temperatures rise above the freezing point with a forecast high of 2C.

Negative tempertures are expected to return briefly on Wednesday with a forecast high of -3C with flurries before returning to above freezing for the rest of the week.
