Suspect Sought

RCMP investigating Vauxhall bank robbery

VAUXHALL, AB – RCMP are asking the public for any information possible relating to a robbery at the Scotiabank in Vauxhall, around 1:45 on Friday afternoon.

The male suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He did not show any weapons and no one was injured during the robbery.

Extensive patrols were made by Taber RCMP with the assistance of Coaldale and Brooks RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services, but the suspect was not located.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services also attended the scene to gather evidence.

The suspect is slender in build and about 5’8” to 5’10” tall. He was wearing blue jeans, an orange and yellow reflective vest, a New York Yankees ball cap, a balaclava and gloves.
