City to begin festive light installation

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Festive lights will once again be going up in Medicine Hat.

The city posted a news release Wednesday morning, noting installation of the lights is scheduled to start today. The schedule is weather dependent.

Downtown, First Street Southeast and the Maple Avenue Bridge will be the first areas where the lights are installed. Lights will be going up on 8^th Street Northeast, Division Avenue North near 20^th Street Northeast, Kingsway Avenue Southeast, South Railway Street Southeast, Trans Canada Way Southeast, Carry Drive Southeast, Dunmore Road Southeast and 13^th Avenue Southeast.

The city is reminding drivers to obey all traffic signs and posted speed limits in the area.
