Former RCMP officer charged with sexual assault makes brief court appearance
MEDICINE HAT, AB — A former RCMP constable facing a sexual assault charge briefly appeared in the Medicine Hat Court of Queen’s Bench Friday morning.
Elliott Teed, 32, appeared via closed-circuit television from New Brunswick. He was charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of breach of trust stemming from a traffic stop near Bow Island in February 2015.
Teed was ordered to stand trial last year on the charges following a preliminary hearing last year. Details from the hearing are under a publication ban.
