UPDATE: Power restored following outage

UPDATE #2: The city says all power was restored to all affected customers by 10:05 p.m.

UPDATE: The City posted at approximately 7:45 p.m. that power had been restored to all customers in Redcliff, and crews were working to restore power to the remaining customers.

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat says hey’re currently dealing with a power outage impacting customers in Medicine Hat and Redcliff.

According to a post on social media, nearly 2,000 customers are without power, primarily in Redcliff and the Southlands neighbourhood.

A cause for the outage is not immediately known, and the city says it will release more information when it becomes available.

The cause of the outage is being investigated.
