Teenager takes checkered flag to win Darryl Adams Memorial Weekend
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The weekly points race took a back seat for drivers at the Medicine Hat Speedway, as they celebrated the life of one of their own over the weekend.
Drivers in five classes hit the track for the annual Darryl Adams Memorial Weekend, racing in memory of Adams who was a mainstay at the Speedway for much of his life.
The annual Darryl Adams Memorial trophy went to 14-year-old Kaylee Wilkie, winning the award for the first time after posting the most accumulative points the mini-cup class.
Wilkie won three races over the course of the weekend, and was either first or second in all eight of her heats.
