Oil Kings victorious over Tigers in Williams’ return to Medicine Hat
MEDICINE HAT – A splendid effort from Mads Sogaard forced overtime for the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night, but former Tiger Josh Williams and the Edmonton Oil Kings had the last laugh.
Edmonton scored 2:11 into overtime on Saturday, picking up the extra point in a 2-1 victory over the Tigers at the Canalta Centre.
Edmonton controlled most of the play in the first period but it was Medicine Hat netting the first goal of the night.
With a little over seven minutes left before the intermission Linus Nassen let a shot go from the point, which was tipped by Tyler Preziuso for his 17th goal of the season.
