MEDICINE HAT, AB — A Canada-wide arrest warrant remains in place for Leonard Robert Terence Beaulieu.

The 24-year-old is wanted for second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Jordan Pede in Strathcona Island Park on December 31.

Inspector Brent Secondiak with the Medicine Hat Police Service says police have been in contact with law enforcement agencies across the country to determine Beaulieu’s location.

“We’re very certain that we know where he is, the general area,” he said. “We can tell you at this point that area is not in Medicine Hat or area. He’s out of province.”

Secondiak did not mention the specific province where Beaulieu is believed to be, but says an arrest could happen “in the next several days.”

Beaulieu, who has ties to Manitoba, was wanted on an outstanding warrant for drug charges in the province when the Canada-wide warrant was issued.

Beaulieu is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 187 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left hand with the words “K MONEY “and a tattoo on his right hand with the words “G TEAM”. Beaulieu also has tattoos on his right forearm with a depiction of bones, a dollar sign and a skull.

Beaulieu should be considered armed and dangerous, has ties to gangs and should not be approached under any circumstances.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Beaulieu is asked to call the MHPS Major Crimes Section at 403-529-8424 or provide at tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
