Four arrested following fentanyl seizure in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE — The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team arrested four people in Lethbridge after seizing more than 400 fentanyl pills from an apartment.
On Wednesday, the ALERT organized crime team in Lethbridge arrested two men in a vehicle after receiving information about suspected fentanyl trafficking. Police obtained a search warrant for an apartment in the city’s westside, where one of the men lived.
Inside the apartment, 400 fentanyl pills were seized, which ALERT says is one of the largest seizures of the drug in Lethbridge. While the warrants were being executed, police arrested a man and a woman who tried to break into the suite.
Police also seized a small amount of cash, cellphones and a single fentanyl pill from the vehicle.
