Airport receives nearly $13 million in federal funding for repairs
MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Regional Airport is getting federal funding for rehabilitation work for its runways.
The airport is receiving $12,989,598 from Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP), part of $41.7 million in funding for 34 airports across the country. The funding for the airport is the largest under this program.
According to a news release, the fund are earmarked for rehabilitation of Runway 03-21 and Taxiway A at the airport. Some of the funding will also go towards improving drainage at the airport.
