Cale Makar invited to Team Canada selection camp for World Junior Hockey Championship
CALGARY, AB — A former Brooks Bandits player has been invited to Team Canada Selection Camp for the World Junior hockey Championship
Hockey Canada announced the selection camp roster on Wednesday, Cale Makar, former Brooks Bandits defenceman, was one of the names invited.
Makar, who is now playing in the NCAA for the University of Massachusetts, was selected fourth overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, Makar scored 24 goals and record 51 assists for 75 points, and was the highest scoring defenceman in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
