Businesses closed as crews respond to fire at Box Springs building

Traffic has returned to normal after a structure fire at a commercial condominium building in northwest Medicine Hat Tuesday morning, but several businesses remain closed.

The Medicine Hat Police Service issued a traffic advisory at 10:19 a.m., saying emergency crews were responding to the fire at 2201 Box Springs Blvd. NW.

Lane closures on Box Springs Boulevard have since been lifted, and traffic flow in the area has returned to normal.

However, the affected businesses will remain closed until further notice while fire investigators and property management assess the building.
