Five Medicine Hat Tigers named to NHL Central Scouting Preliminary rankings

Oct 26, 2026 | 3:38 PM

Five Medicine Hat Tigers have been named to NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary rankings, released earlier on Monday.

Noah Davidson, Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll, Luke Warrener, Cash Christie, and Denis Pasler all find themselves listed.

Davidson was given an ‘A’ grade despite not having played this season.

Last year as a rookie, Davidson finished fourth in goals amongst WHL rookies with 30, while adding 12 points in 15 playoff games.

Gordon-Carroll was given a ‘B’ grade, in part due to his slower-than-anticipated start to the season.

On a team that has been fighting the puck throughout the opening month, Gordon-Carroll finds himself at the center of that battle, having recorded only three assists to start the season and is still awaiting his first goal.

The Utah product has been around it, but whether it be a great save, post, or a puck rolling on its edge, he has not been able to find his first.

Luke Warrener carries a lot of size with him, and that is something scouts always envy.

At 6’4″, 201 lbs, Warrener has a lot of that same meanness to his game that helped his father Rhett have a lengthy NHL career.

So far, Warrener has two assists in nine games this season.

Closing out the list with ‘W’ grades are Denis Pasler and Cash Christie.

Christie will have to battle to increase his draft grade as the season goes on, serving as the backup to Carter Casey at this point in the season.

Christie has seen limited action to begin the year and holds a 1-0-0-1 record with a 2.74 GAA and a 0.893 SV%.

Pasler, who stands at 6’7″, has that unteachable size like Warrener and is in his second year of draft eligibility.

The Russian-born defenceman is still in search of his first point of the season and has missed the Tigers last two games with injury.

The Medicine Hat Tigers begin a six-game U.S. Division road trip Wednesday night in Wenatchee.
