Tigers host Hitmen to conclude home and home

Oct 24, 2026 | 11:00 AM

After a thrilling comeback win last night, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to replicate the result without the drama tonight as they conclude their home and home with the Calgary Hitmen.

Yaroslav Bryzgalov completed the comeback with 1:50 left in the third period, capitalizing on a bad Calgary turnover to lift the Tigers to a 5-4 win over the Hitmen.

Tonight, the Hitmen will look to avenge the defeat while the Tigers look to head on their U.S. Division road trip on a winning foot.

The Tigers have won 11 straight games against the Hitmen, with seven of the 11 games being decided by one goal, including last night’s win.

Markus Ruck assisted on both Dayton Reschny power-play goals in last night’s win, while adding the game-tying goal en route to his fourth multi-point game of the season.

His twin brother Liam has been held to just two points over his last four games after starting the year with five points in his first four.

On the Calgary side, captain Carter Sanderson was held pointless for just the second time this season after entering last night with eight points in his past three games.

The Hitmen power play, which entered last night third-best in the WHL, was held off the scoresheet, marking the second straight game the Tigers had gone two-for-two on the penalty kill.

Puck drop from Co-op Place is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST, with the pre-game show getting underway at 6:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
