After combining for two goals in their last two games, the Medicine Hat Tigers hung an eight-spot on the Brandon Wheat Kings, snapping their three-game losing streak with an 8-1 win.

Luke Cozens powered the Tiger offence with a three-goal night, scoring two, while Carter Casey was stellar in net, making 32 saves.

Owen Hayes and Jake Burmis bookended the games, scoring with each finding the back of the net for their first career WHL goals.

Markus Ruck, Dayton Reschny, Josh Evaschesen, and Riley Steen rounded out the Tiger scoring.

Wheat Kings netminder Filip Ruzicka was pulled halfway through the game after allowing six goals on 29 shots.

Rookie backup goaltender Ethan Berard made his WHL debut in relief, making 14 saves on 16 shots.

Brandon’s lone goal came late in the first period courtesy of a Kris Muissu wrist shot.

The Tigers wrap up their three-game road trip next Friday night against the Calgary Hitmen as the clubs begin a home-and-home.
