SE Alberta Chamber partners on survey looking to restore Medicine Hat’s commercial air service
Southeast Alberta businesses are being asked to share how the loss of scheduled commercial air service at Medicine Hat Regional Airport is affecting their organizations as local groups work to restore the service.
WestJet ended its service to Medicine Hat on June 24, 2026, leaving the regional airport without scheduled commercial air service.
New West Public Affairs and the Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce are working with the City of Medicine Hat and the Medicine Hat Regional Airport to make the case for restoring service.
The groups are also seeking to show provincial and federal governments that regional air service is critical infrastructure for Southeast Alberta, and not just a convenience.
