Cypress County elected officials set for three international trade missions
Cypress County Council approved several development and policy items at its meeting on Tuesday, including plans to send the council on international trade missions, two subdivision applications and amendments to the county’s land-use bylaw.
The county will send three elected officials to the missions, with Councillor Robin Kurpjuweit travelling to Tokyo, Councillor Michelle McKenzie attending PACK EXPO in Chicago and Mayor Dan Hamilton heading to Frankfurt for the European event.
The CanExport Community Investments program will cover up to 60 per cent of eligible costs, up to a maximum of $32,250.
These missions are part of the county’s economic development strategy, which prioritizes investment attraction and economic diversification.
