90-year-old weather records fall in Medicine Hat and One Four on Tuesday

Also setting a record high for the date was Bow Island. It reached a temperature of 34.7 C, up from the 32.2 C mark set in 1966.

Several other Alberta locations set records on Tuesday.

Still in southern Alberta, Milk River reached 33.2 C, to beat the 2025 mark of 26.8 C, and Claresholm got up to 30.8 C to better the 1986 mark of 30.5 C.

There were records in five central Alberta locations not far from the Saskatchewan border.

Esther reached 33.7 C, beating the 30.5 C mark set in 1986.

Coronation reached 33.8 C, up from 30.6 C in 1936.

Wainwright was 32.7 C, up from the 1986 mark of 29.5 C.

Lloydminster hit 30.4 C to beat the 1986 record of 29.3 C.

Vegreville was 32.4 C to better the 1950 mark of 32.2 C.

A little further to the west, Camrose set a new mark at 30.8 C, up just slightly from the 30.6 C set in 1966.

A heat warning remains in place throughout the week in parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

A pair of communities in southwest Saskatchewan also had weather records on May 26.

A 90-year-old record fell in Maple Creek with the temperature reaching 34.1 C, less than a degree higher than the 33.3 mark set in 1936.

In Eastend, a 92-year-old record is no more after the temperature reached 32.4 C, beating the 1934 high of 29.4 C.
