Six Medicine Hat College students competed at 2026 Skills Alberta Provincial Competition in Edmonton
School of Trades and Technology students at Medicine Hat College showcased and tested their skills at the 2026 Skills Alberta Provincial Competition on May 6 and 7 in Edmonton, earning silver and bronze medals.
The annual event, described as the Olympics of trades, brings together top competitors from across the province in more than 40 trades and technology categories to challenge participants with industry-designed projects reflecting real-world standards.
The six competitors from the college included Colter Kallenberger in heavy vehicle technology, coached by Keon Clift; Logan Demontigny in steamfitter/pipefitter, coached by Chad Baron; Kenneth Collin in welding, coached by Zenon Parchewsky; Benjamin Drewitz in architectural design, coached by Felix Piayda; Jayce Rasmuson in automotive service technician, coached by Dalton Anderson and Lee Eiserman; and Grayson Misson in electrical, coached by Stan Hansen.
Demontigny captured bronze and was named the safest worker in his trade, while Kallenberger earned a silver medal.
