One Albertan has a winning lotto ticket worth $12.5 million

Someone in Alberta is $12.5 million richer after purchasing a winning Lotto Max ticket.

Western Canada Lottery Corporation says the ticket was bought within the province, but somewhere outside of Edmonton and Calgary.

The Lotto Max jackpot is $25 million, but there was another winning ticket in Quebec, so the prize will be shared.

The winner has a year to claim the prize.

The winning numbers are: 5, 15, 22, 24, 34, 37, and 49, with the bonus number of 2.
