🔮 Psychic & Crystal Fair

FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY

The Medicine Hat Psychic & Crystal Fair returns to the Baymont Hotel this weekend with vendors, readings and wellness services from practitioners across Canada.

The three-day event runs from Friday to Sunday, featuring astrologers, rune readers, healers and tea leaf and palm readers, along with crystal vendors and handmade jewelry displays.

An aura photo booth will also be available for $20.

Organizers say vendors will accept both cash and card payments, and door prizes will be offered throughout the event.

Admission is $10 for the weekend, with children 12 and under admitted free.

🏒 Brooks Bandits in BCHL Finals

FRIDAY and SATURDAY

The Brooks Bandits will open the BCHL Finals this weekend with a pair of home games against the Nanaimo Clippers at Centennial Regional Arena.

The best-of-seven series begins Friday and Saturday in Brooks, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. for both games.

The Bandits are looking to repeat as BCHL champions and will hold home-ice advantage throughout the series.

The finals mark the first BCHL playoff meeting between the two clubs. The teams last faced each other during the 2013 Western Canada Cup round-robin in Nanaimo.

🥞 Free pancake breakfast at The She Shed

SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Celiac Support Network is hosting a gluten-free pancake breakfast on Saturday aimed at bringing together residents living with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities.

The public event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The She Shed and will feature a gluten-free breakfast, community connection and opportunities for families to meet others navigating gluten-free living.

Tickets are $5 and are available online for purchase, while children eight and under can attend free of charge.

🧤 Fibre Arts Society hosting felted mitten workshop

SATURDAY

The Medicine Hat Fibre Arts Society is hosting a felted mitten workshop on Saturday at the Cultural Centre at Medicine Hat College.

Tracey Kuffner of Patricia will lead the full-day class, teaching participants how to create mitten patterns and produce a pair of hand-moulded felt mittens ready to wear by the end of the session.

Organizers say students will also learn surface design techniques to decorate their finished projects.

The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room CC167 at the Cultural Centre.

Registration costs $90, plus a $10 kit fee, and participants are asked to bring several household supplies, including towels, dish soap and a bamboo blind.

🍢 Ma’z & Pa’z Grand Opening BBQ

SATURDAY

The Ma’z & Pa’z Caring Association will celebrate seven years of community service with a grand opening anniversary barbecue on Saturday.

The public event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 638 Spencer St. SE and features a barbecue by donation, refreshments, opportunities to meet volunteers and staff, and information about the organization’s programs and services.

Organizers say the event will also highlight stories and milestones from the past seven years as the association reflects on its continued support for community members in need.

🪨 May Daze 2026

SATURDAY and SUNDAY

The Medicine Hat Rock & Lapidary Club will host a public “May Daze” event for the May long weekend at the Seven Persons Community Hall.

The two-day gathering runs May 16 and 17 and will include classes, demonstrations, field trips, tailgating activities, as well as silent and live auctions.

Organizers say additional event details are set to be released.

The public can attend Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., while Sunday programming will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

🏞 River Walk at Police Point Park

SUNDAY

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program has invited the public to explore the ecology of the South Saskatchewan River during a guided River Walk at noon on Sunday at Police Point Park.

The free, hour-long program will examine local wildlife, plant life and river features, including shoreline cottonwood trees, gravel formations and bird species found along the riverbank.

Organizers say the walk will focus on the importance of rivers within local ecosystems and the relationships between living organisms in the area.

Participants are asked to meet at the first parking lot in Police Point Park and wear appropriate footwear for riverbank conditions.
