Medicine Hat–Cardston–Warner MP Motz encourages residents to complete 2026 Census

May 5, 2026 | 12:19 PM

The Member of Parliament for Medicine Hat–Cardston–Warner Glen Motz is encouraging residents to take part in the 2026 Census.

“Your participation in the census is collected under the authority of the Statistics Act and is strictly confidential,” Motz said.

“All households are asked to complete the questionnaire during the month of May.”

Data collection began on May 4, and the deadline for Canadians to fill out the federal government’s latest census is May 12.

The Census will collect demographic, social and economic information from households across Canada to help guide decisions that impact Canadian families, communities and businesses.

Motz says that your responses play an important role in planning services that support employment, education, public transportation, health care and more.

Farm operators are also asked to complete the Census of Agriculture questionnaire.

Visit www.census.gc.ca to complete the census online or phone 1-833-852-2026 for assistance.
