High-speed internet expansion connects rural homes in the County of Forty Mile

Mar 27, 2026 | 4:59 PM

High-speed internet service is coming to rural communities in the County of Forty Mile through a project supported by both the provincial and federal governments.

The project is a high-speed internet infrastructure that has expanded to connect households in Foremost, Etzikom, and Manyberries.

Improved connectivity will support economic development, education, healthcare access, and communication for residents across the region.

The investment is part of a broader effort to expand reliable broadband access across rural Alberta and ensure residents, farms, and local businesses can connect to the digital services they rely on every day.

The County of Forty Mile said it recognizes and appreciates the financial support provided by the Province of Alberta through the Alberta Broadband Strategy, which is helping bring modern broadband infrastructure to rural communities across the province.
