Medicine Hat Tigers set to conclude regular season series with Calgary Hitmen

Feb 28, 2026 | 1:18 PM

Off the heels of a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind overtime victory, the Medicine Hat Tigers will look to extend their win streak to six as they wrap up their regular season series against the Calgary Hitmen tonight inside Co-op Place.

Bryce Pickford played overtime hero inside the Scotiabank Saddledome, netting his third straight game-winning goal and 11th such tally this season.

The Tabbies hold a 6-1 record against the Hitmen this season, outscoring their Central Division foe 32-20 over the seven games.

The season series has been lopsided in the Tigers favour each of the last two seasons as the Tigers have won 13 of the last 15 meetings with the Hitmen and have points in all but one of those 15 matchups.

The last four games between Calgary and Medicine Hat have all been decided by one goal, and three of the games have required overtime.

The magic number for the Medicine Hat Tigers to clinch their second straight Central Division crown is now down to just five wins as they hold an 11-point lead on the Edmonton Oil Kings with just ten games remaining in the regular season.

Medicine Hat will remain without three of their six starting defensemen tonight.

Veeti Vaisanen and Niilopekka Muhonen remain day-to-day with injury, while Jonas Woo is serving the final game of a three-game suspension.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST and the pre-game show begins at 6:30 on WILD 94.5 FM.
