Feb 23, 2026 | 10:27 AM

Two Medicine Hat residents are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Medicine Hat Police Service.

Police received complaints from community members regarding activity at a residence in the 900 block of Bullivant Crescent SW starting in December.

Police say the reported activity was negatively impacting the safety and quality of life of nearby residents.

A search warrant was executed on Saturday.

Arrested are 47-year-old Jackie Dopp and 37-year-old Cody Madore, each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Dopp was also alleged to be in breach of a conditional sentence order at the time of the offences.

Both individuals appeared for a bail hearing on Sunday and were remanded into custody. Scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24, 2026.

The MHPS stated that they remain committed to working with the community to address criminal activity and enhance neighbourhood safety.

Anyone with information about suspected drug activity is encouraged to contact the MHPS at 403-529-8481 or submit a tip online (anonymously if preferred) through mhps.ca or the MHPS mobile app.
