The Medicine Hat Cubs continue their Heritage Junior Hockey League South Division Semi-Final playoff series with the Carstar Okotoks Bisons on Friday night.

The best-of-five series is tied at one game apiece. The Cubs dropped game one by a 4-0 score last Friday at home, before bouncing back with a 4-3 win in Okotoks on Sunday.

Expected back in the lineup for the Cubs is forward Mason Osinski, who has finished serving a five-game suspension.

Absent will be Cubs forward Nolen Sutherland, who has four games remaining on his five-game suspension after a match penalty for boarding late in game one of the series.

Bisons forward Seamus Garagan is tied for the playoff lead in goals scored with six through four games, which included five in two games against the Coaldale Copperheads.

In the other South Division Semi-Final, the Cannex Cochrane Generals and Agrarisk Wheatland Kings also split their first two games last weekend. They played again on Wednesday in Strathmore, with the Generals winning 4-3 in overtime to take a 2-1 series lead.

The winners of each series will face each other in the HJHL’s South Final.

Puck drop on Friday at the Kinplex Arena is at 7:30 p.m.

Game four is in Okotoks Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

If necessary, a fifth game would be back at the Kinplex Arena on Sunday at 3 p.m.
