A 26-save shutout from Jordan Switzer helped backstop the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 3-0 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Luke Cozens opened the scoring against his former club for his 22nd of the season and the eventual game-winner.

Andrew Basha and Markus Ruck would add goals under one minute apart to stretch the Tiger lead to three late in the second period.

Jonas Woo added a pair of assists on the night and was the lone Tiger to record a multi-point night.

Medicine Hat captain Bryce Pickford recorded an assist on the game’s opening goal in his first game back from injury after a one-month absence.

Koen Cleaver made 49 saves on 52 Tiger shots in the loss for the ‘Canes.

He was named the game’s first star.

The Highway 3 rivalry continues tomorrow night as the clubs conclude the home-and-home inside Co-op Place.
