Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services attended to a call at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport (YXH) on Thursday afternoon.

A representative from the fire department confirmed that a pilot reported that the landing gear for their airplane wasn’t coming down.

This led to the pilot circling the airport, where it was visually confirmed that the landing gear was down, as the pilot was unable to confirm that it was locked in place.

Crews from fire stations two and three were ready on site near the runway at the airport with their crash truck to assist if needed.

The plane did land without incident.

Identified as C-GRAC, the Cessna 210L Centurion plane is shown as owned by Super T Aviation according to Flight Radar 24.

The flight records from FlightAware show that the plane took off from YXH just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, and first attempted to land at about 5 p.m.

After circling southeast of the airport for about 25 minutes, the plane started its landing, which flight records show took place at 5:37 p.m.
