Tompkins man charged with multiple break-ins in southwest Saskatchewan
A 42-year-old man from Tompkins, Saskatchewan, faces multiple charges following a series of alleged break-ins and fraud-related incidents across southern Saskatchewan, according to the RCMP.
Leader RCMP said officers began investigating after a business in Abbey reported a break-and-enter on Jan. 6, as police determined a suspect broke into the business shortly before 3 a.m. and stole a box of cigarettes.
As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant on Feb. 5 at a residence in Tompkins, to which RCMP said they seized break-in tools, a large quantity of illicit tobacco and a significant amount of cash, resulting in the arrest of an adult male at the home.
Police said further investigation linked the suspect to a break-and-enter at a business in Gull Lake in October 2025, as well as an attempted fraud at a Swift Current business in the Fall of 2025.
