Medicine Hat Minor Hockey to host provincial hockey tournament in Irvine

Hockey Alberta has announced that the U13 Female A Alberta Provincial Championship will be hosted by the Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association.

The eight-team tournament will be played at the Irvine Sports Complex from March 19-22, 2026, giving the undefeated Medicine Hat Wildcats a host spot.

Through 14 games competing in the Rocky Mountain Female Hockey League, the U13 A Wildcats have won 11 games and tied three to sit in the top spot.

They wrap up their regular season with a pair of road games this weekend in Red Deer and Stettler.

Hosts for the 30 provincial events across Alberta were announced by Hockey Alberta in mid-December.

Also hosting a provincial event in southeastern Alberta is Brooks, which was previously announced for the U11 AA category from March 26-29, 2026.
